The Women in Sponsorship Initiative
In 2016, Think!Sponsorship's founder, Cat Hawkins, committed to developing the Women in Sponsorship initiative.
Recognising the significance of networking, and the role that women across the sector had played in helping her to establish and build a business, she set out to build an accessible and inclusive networking forum, that enabled women from across the sector to meet one another and form a mutually supportive community.
Later that same year, working collaboratively with good friend Rosie Sarginson of the UK Sponsorship Awards, they hosted the first networking event at Somerset House in London. Since then, we've hosted approximately two events per year run on a not-for-profit basis, that has facilitated business connections and inspired friendship across the full spectrum of the industry. We've also launched a small - but growing (!) mentorship programme to support both established and new talent in getting access to high quality advice and expertise.
The Women in Sponsorship group is not a clique. We welcome attendees from all walks of sponsorship, at all stages in their careers. Our networking events are friendly environments designed to make everyone feel at home!
If you want to join our mailing list, please use the form on this page, or email steph@thinksponsorship.com
We're always looking for hosts to facilitate our events. If you've got a venue space that you feel could be appropriate for this forum, then we'd love to hear from you. Please email catherine@thinksponsorship.com
We hope to see you at an event soon!
Love Cat & Rosie :)
It was an interesting and enjoyable event - I look forward to them continuing going forward!

'Thank you so much for organizing the Women in Sponsorship event yesterday. It was fantastic to hear the different career paths of Katie, Jodie and Leena and the challenges they have faced, as well as meet a variety of people in the industry through your speed dating style networking session'
Eleri Guy, Creative Artists Agency (Feb 19)
Thank you for organising last night’s event, I found it really helpful meeting other women working in corporate sponsorship and was impressed by the variety of companies in attendance.
